The Reef Hotel Casino Community Benefit Fund (the Fund) was established in January 1996 by the Queensland Government to distribute grants to non-profit community organisations in Far North Queensland, which provide facilities or services to the community at large. The funding is received from a 1% levy on gross gaming revenue of The Reef Casino in Cairns. Since inception of the Fund in 1996, more than $5 million has been provided to over 1,090 Far North Queensland based not-for-profit community groups.
Round 24 - Grants Announced November 2008 More than $236,000 has been awarded to 43 Far North Queensland not-for-profit organisations in the latest funding round of the Reef Hotel Casino Community Benefit Fund. For full details of the grants please refer to the Round 24 grants page of this site Submission of New Applications Applications to be considered in Funding Round 25 must be received by the Fund by 15 December 2008.
